![]() ![]() The Numidian cavalry get swarmed, and are just no match for the desert cavalry. The desert cavalry and heavy chariots come up so quickly, that I can't get much damage on them with the onagers. Here's what I've had in my army: 2 desert infantry, 2 Numidian legionaries, 1 hoplite merc, 4 javelin men (3 libyan mercs and 1 Numidian javelin), 2 archers, 1 slinger, 2 onagers, 2 camel riders, 1 longshield cav, 2 Numidian cavalry, and my general. My poor Numidians are being overwhelmed by massed charges of desert cav and chariots to each flank. That stack contains 6 chariots (4 heavy and 2 chariot archers), 5 desert cavalry, 1 pharoah's bowmen, 1 slinger, 1 skirmisher, 2 desert axemen, 3 nubian spears, oh and an onager just for good measure. I've been able to handle most of the Egyptian onslaught with the exception of 1 stack that keeps pushing me back on the defensive. As you may know, Numidia has a small range of units to work with. I'm playing as Numidia, and of course, Egypt is perpetually at war with me. ![]()
